TALKING TO TREES ABOUT FUNGI SYMBIOSIS
A lone doe on a hillside— a mist of rising sun.
An acorn drops—a squirrel leaps.
Red-wing blackbirds fly out of trees.
A lonely hiker plods along Bash Bish falls
lost in the serenity of sky, trees and flowing water.
He hugs a huge silver birch tree radiating divine energy.
Little did he know, this spectacular tree was God himself!
The tree whispers, What can I do for you, son?
He replies: I read about the mycorrhizae relationship
between plants and fungi—an early warning system.
I would like to be a first responder, whenever roots warn
of insecticides, drought and disease.
